Creator setup. One evening, then you're live.

This is the full setup, and it's honestly a lot the first time you read it. That's expected. It's also the only time you do it. Once it's done you never touch most of this again, and going live becomes two clicks.

Go in order. The two amber steps are the ones everything else waits on, so do those first and don't skip ahead to posting. Budget an evening.

Wherever it says yourname, that's your first name, lowercase.

Get stuck anywhere, message me. Tell me the step number and what you're seeing. There is no question here that's too basic, and I would much rather answer it than have you guess and set something up wrong.

Accounts

Set up your pages.

Make the TikTok account: yourname.smc

Set the handle to yourname.smc. Profile picture of your face, not a logo. Then read the next two steps before you change anything else, because the account type and the agency both need doing on day one.

The @ in a TikTok bio isn't tappable. It's there so people can search the main account and see this is a real thing. The link field underneath is the tappable part, and step 2 is how you get one.

Switch to a Business account so you get a link today

Why: without a clickable link in your bio there is no way for anyone watching you to reach the free indicator, the Discord, or anything you get paid for. They'd have to remember a name and go searching, and almost nobody does. The link is the entire point of the account. A Business account is how you get one on day one instead of waiting months.

TikTok used to have an Instagram button you could add to your profile. It's gone. TikTok pulled the Instagram and YouTube links out of Edit Profile, so ignore anyone who tells you to connect your Instagram there. It isn't a follower thing, the feature doesn't exist anymore.

What's left is the Website field, and on a personal account that needs 1,000 followers. A Business account unlocks it immediately with zero followers. That's the whole reason we do this. It takes about a minute:

In the TikTok app, on your phoneProfile → ☰ top right → Settings and privacy → Account → Switch to Business Account → Next → Category: Education → Skip the email/website prompt if you don't have your link yet

No paperwork, no business name, no verification. It just asks for a category. Then Edit profile → Website holds your link. Type it with the https:// on the front or it can get rejected. Mobile only, the field doesn't exist on desktop.

Two things to know before you switch. Business accounts are always public, so if yours is private now it won't be after. And you lose the full sound library, you're limited to the commercial music one. For talking over a chart that's a non-issue. If you were planning to build your whole page on trending audio edits, tell me first.

Apply to Atomik today. Don't leave this one until later.

Why: this one step solves three separate problems at once, which is why it matters more than anything else on this page.

1. It gets you live before 1,000 followers. Live is the single best thing you can do for this. People watching you actually take a trade and explain it converts better than any edited clip, and it's what your rate tier is built around. Without an agency you cannot go live at all until 1,000 followers, which could be months.

2. It gets you a stream key, which removes a whole piece of software. Without a key you have to run OBS, then pipe it through OBS's Virtual Camera, then into TikTok LIVE Studio, then out to TikTok. Three programs chained together, three places it can break, and quality loss at each handoff. With a key, OBS talks straight to TikTok. That's it.

3. It protects your account. Agencies can get you unbanned if TikTok flags you by mistake. Streaming trading content, that's worth having.

This is the step that decides whether you can go live at all, and it's the one with a waiting period, so it goes early. Everything else on this page you can do in an evening. This one has a clock on it.

TikTok normally wants 1,000 followers before the LIVE button appears, and that's true no matter which account type you're on. Business doesn't get you around it. A creator network does. That's TikTok's official word for an agency. Atomik is a US and Canada agency and they give LIVE access without the 1,000 followers.

They're free. They don't take a cut of your money. TikTok hands them a slice of TikTok's own share, so what you earn doesn't change.

Their site walks you through it. There are two parts and you have to do both:

a. Apply through the link on their site, on your own account, not mine.
b. Join their Discord: discord.gg/UzXaHCduKN. This is where the review actually happens. If you skip it, your application sits there.

Approval is usually inside 24 hours. Fill in whatever they ask honestly. If they ask why you want a stream key, the true answer is that you stream a chart from a computer through OBS and LIVE Studio doesn't handle the setup you need.

Two different things arrive at two different times, so don't panic when the second one is slow:

Live access and LIVE Studio: within about a day. This is the part that matters. The moment you're approved you can stream, even with no followers.
Your OBS stream key: around 10 days. Separate process, slower. You do not wait for this to start streaming, see the box further down.

Before you apply, know this: you must be 18 or older, they expect roughly 10 to 20 hours of streaming a month, and if you leave an agency after 15 days there can be a wait of up to 60 days before you can join a different one. Instagram: same handle, same everything

Make yourname.smc on Instagram too. Settings → Account type → Creator. Same profile picture. Every clip you post on TikTok goes up here as a Reel. Same file, same caption. On Instagram the @ is tappable, and the website field holds your link from day one.

Same link in both bios

Your link goes in the TikTok Website field and the Instagram website field. Same link, both places. Don't point TikTok at your Instagram, point both at your link. Every extra tap between a viewer and the free indicator loses people.

The SMC Discord

You're already in it. Send me your Discord username so I can give you the Creator role. Put your TikTok handle in your Discord profile so members can find you. This is a different Discord from Atomik's, you'll be in both.

Much later: at 1,000 followers, switch back to Personal

Why switch back at all: Business was only ever a workaround to get the link early. It costs you two real things while you're on it. You're locked out of the full sound library, so most trending audio is off limits. And you're locked out of TikTok's own creator payouts, which you become eligible for as you grow. At 1,000 followers a personal account gets the link field anyway, so Business stops buying you anything and you'd just be paying those costs for nothing.

Nothing to do now, just know it's coming. Once you cross 1,000, a personal account gets the Website field on its own, so there's no reason to stay on Business. Same menu path, it now says Switch to Personal Account. Your link stays. You get the full sound library back and you're eligible for TikTok's own creator payouts again, which Business accounts are locked out of. Message me when you hit it.

If someone tells you Business accounts get throttled in the meantime, that isn't a real thing. Account type isn't one of the signals TikTok ranks on. The only genuine cost is the sound library.

How you actually go live — two stages, don't wait for stage two

Stage 1, from about day two. TikTok LIVE Studio. As soon as Atomik approves you, LIVE unlocks and you start streaming this way. Follow the SMC Live Setup guide pinned in the Discord: OBS builds the picture, OBS's Virtual Camera passes it to TikTok LIVE Studio, and LIVE Studio sends it to TikTok. It's three pieces instead of two, but it works and it's how you'll run your first couple of weeks. Do not sit around waiting for a stream key.

Stage 2, once your key arrives, roughly 10 days in. Now you can cut LIVE Studio out. Grab a fresh key from livecenter.tiktok.com/producer, then in OBS: Settings → Stream → Service: Custom, paste the server URL and the key, Start Streaming. No LIVE Studio, no virtual camera, fewer things to break and better quality. One catch: you need a new key for every single stream, so that page becomes part of your pre-flight.

Your OBS scene is identical in both stages. The chart, the camera, the overlay, all the same. Only the very last step changes, so nothing you set up in stage one is wasted.

Getting paid

Whop.

Whop is where your commission gets tracked and paid. Your link doesn't work until this part is done.

Make a Whop account and set your username to yournamesmc

Sign up at whop.com with the email you want paid to. Then Settings → Profile → Username, set it to yournamesmc. Lowercase, no dots. Your link is wired to that exact username, so if it's taken, pick the closest thing and tell me exactly what you used.

Then go to whop.com/smallmoneyconcepts/affiliates and join. You'll see links appear in there. You don't need to copy them anywhere, your clean link below points at them for you.

Set up payouts before your first sale

Whop → Settings → Payouts. It asks for ID and a bank or payout method and can take a day or two to clear. Do it now, not the day someone buys.

Your link comes from me, after I've checked your pages

It'll be smallmoneyconcepts.com/yourname. It lands people on the website with your name attached, so you get credit for anyone who joins, on every payment they make, for as long as they stay. I don't hand it out until everything above and below is done and looks right, so finish the list first.

When you get it, it goes in both website fields straight away, TikTok and Instagram. If you've switched to Business you have the TikTok one from day one, so there's no waiting period and no "go to my Instagram" workaround. On live and in videos, say "free indicator and Discord, link in my bio" out loud, more than once.

Follow every other creator, and nobody else

On both apps, follow @smallmoneyconcepts.com and every other creator's TikTok and Instagram. Ideally that's the entire following list on these accounts. Everyone gets a base of followers on day one, and it ties all our pages together in the algorithm so your videos get shown to each other's audiences.

Three to five posts up

Your trades, your payouts, your charts, what you're learning. Real screenshots only. If you're short on material, the content pool in Discord has mine to edit and post. Every one of them goes to Instagram as a Reel as well.

Send me your pages so I can check them

Your TikTok @, your Instagram @, your Discord username, and your exact Whop username. I go through both pages and make sure the handle, bio, profile picture, account type, link and posts all look right. If something's off I'll tell you what to fix.

Once it's all correct, I turn on your rate, send you your link, give you the Creator role, and send your overlay. Then we start.

What you get back from me

Your link, once your pages pass the check. Your stream overlay with your @ on it and the OBS scene it sits in (chart, camera, overlay already arranged, so you go live from a computer through TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS, not the phone). The Creator role. Access to the content pool and the crew channel. And a Discord announcement telling every member to follow you.

Ground rules

Don't promise anyone they'll make money. Don't post fake screenshots or someone else's results as your own. Don't run ads on the SMC name without asking. Don't spam DMs or comments. Any of those ends this immediately, because promising trading returns is the fastest way to get all of this shut down.
