Set up your TikTok

About 10 minutes.

BioUnder 1,000 followers, you have to @ your Instagram in your TikTok bio. TikTok won't give you a clickable link until 1,000, so your bio sends people to your Instagram, where your link is. Put your own Instagram handle where it says @yourname.smc.

Going live on TikTokTikTok only lets you go LIVE if you're 18 or older and have 1,000 followers. No setting gets around that. Set everything up now anyway, and you're ready to go live the day you hit 1,000.

Set up your stream

About 15 minutes, once. On a computer, so the chart is readable. OBS builds the picture (overlay + your camera + your chart), then TikTok LIVE Studio sends it to TikTok. No stream key or agency needed.

The SMC stream layout: camera on top, the SMC band in the middle, chart below

What it looks like: your face in the top area, the SMC band in the middle (logo, "the indicator on this chart is free", "Free Discord, link in bio"), and your TradingView chart filling the bottom.

Everyone uses the same overlay. It's tall (1080 × 1920), the same shape as a phone screen, and built so TikTok's buttons and comments don't cover anything important.

Install OBS
  1. Go to obsproject.com/download and pick WindowsmacOS.
  2. Open the file you downloaded and click Next through everything.
  3. Open the downloaded file and drag OBS into your Applications folder. It has to be in Applications or the virtual camera won't work.
  4. If your Mac asks to let OBS use the camera, microphone or screen recording, click Allow for all of them.
  5. Open OBS. If it offers the Auto-Configuration Wizard, click Cancel. The SMC files set everything for you.
Download the SMC overlay and put the folder in the right place
  1. Click the green SMC overlay button above. It downloads SMC-Overlay.zip.
  2. Right-click the zip → Extract All → Extract. You get a folder called SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup.
  3. Move that folder straight onto your C: drive: open File Explorer → This PC → Local Disk (C:) and drag the folder in. It must end up at exactly C:\SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup. That's where OBS looks for the pictures, so everything loads with no extra steps.
  4. Double-click the zip to unzip it. You get a folder called SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup.
  5. Move that folder into your Documents folder and leave it there. OBS reads the pictures from it, so don't delete or rename it.
Import the SMC profile (makes OBS tall)
  1. In OBS, top menu: Profile → Import.
  2. Open the SMC folder → OBS Import → select the folder Profile - SMC TikTok Live and click Select FolderOpen.
  3. Top menu again: Profile → click SMC TikTok Live.

The preview in the middle of OBS turns tall, like a phone. (This sets the size to 1080 × 1920 at 30 fps.)

Import the SMC scene (the overlay)
  1. Top menu: Scene Collection → Import.
  2. Click the … button at the end of the row. Open the SMC folder → OBS Import → pick Scene Collection - SMC TikTok Live.json.
  3. Make sure its box is ticked, then click Import.
  4. Top menu again: Scene Collection → click SMC TikTok Live.
  5. If a Missing Files window pops up, the folder isn't at C:\SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup. Click Search Directory…, pick the SMC folder, then Apply.
  6. A Missing Files window pops up (normal on Mac). Click Search Directory…, pick the SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup folder in Documents, then Apply.

You should now see the SMC band and logo in the preview. The Sources box (bottom of OBS) lists: SMC Logo, SMC Overlay, Webcam, Chart (TradingView).

Put your camera in the top area
  1. In Sources, double-click Webcam.
  2. Device: pick your camera (or your phone, if you use it as a webcam). Click OK.
  3. It's already sized and placed. Just check your face sits in the middle, in the lower half of the top area, just above the black band.
  1. The imported Webcam source is for Windows, so make a new one: in Sources, click + → Video Capture Device → name it Mac Webcam → OK.
  2. Device: pick your camera. Click OK.
  3. In the preview, drag and resize it so it fills the whole width of the top area, above the black band. Hold Option while dragging an edge to crop instead of squishing.
  4. In the Sources list, drag Mac Webcam down so it's below SMC Overlay. You can right-click the old Webcam → Remove.

Keep your face in the middle. The far left and right edges get cut off on some phones, and the very top sits under TikTok's name badge.

Put your chart in the bottom area
  1. Open TradingView on your computer (the app or Chrome) with your chart.
  2. In Sources, double-click Chart (TradingView). Window: pick your TradingView window. Click OK. It's already sized to fill the bottom.
  3. The imported chart source is for Windows, so make a new one: + → macOS Screen Capture → name it Mac Chart → OK. Method: Window Capture, pick your TradingView window, OK.
  4. Drag and resize it so it fills everything below the black band, with its right edge on the thin blue line on the right. Drag it below SMC Overlay in the Sources list, and remove the old Chart (TradingView).
  5. Keep the newest candles on the right. TikTok's comments cover the lower left, which is just old price history.
  6. Hide your broker panel (positions and orders at the bottom of TradingView): hold AltOption and drag the chart's bottom edge up in OBS until the panel is gone and the time axis is the last thing showing.
  7. In TradingView, hide the right-side icon panel and zoom to about 150% so it's readable on a phone.
Start the Virtual Camera
  1. Bottom right of OBS, under Controls: click Start Virtual Camera.
  2. The first time, your Mac asks to allow the OBS camera extension. Click Open System Settings, turn on / Allow OBS, then quit OBS, open it again, and click Start Virtual Camera again.
  3. Leave OBS open the whole time you're live. If OBS closes, your stream goes black.
Set up TikTok LIVE Studio
  1. Download and install TikTok LIVE Studio, then log in with your yourname.smc TikTok.
  2. Make sure OBS is already open with the Virtual Camera started. Open OBS first, every time.
  3. Pick the vertical (portrait) layout.
  4. Click Add source → Camera. Pick OBS Virtual Camera. Stretch it so it fills the whole picture.
  5. Open the camera's settings and turn off mirror, beauty and any filters or effects. Mirror makes your chart backwards.
  6. Add your microphone in LIVE Studio (Add source → Microphone). The OBS camera carries picture only, no sound.
  7. Settings: 1080p, 30 fps, the highest bitrate it offers. Use a wired internet connection if you can.
Something's wrong?

Grey boxes or a Missing Files window: OBS can't find the SMC pictures. Click Search Directory…, pick the SMC TikTok Live Overlay Setup folder, Apply.

LIVE Studio shows black: close LIVE Studio, click Start Virtual Camera in OBS, then open LIVE Studio again.

OBS Virtual Camera isn't in the list: restart your computer, open OBS, Start Virtual Camera, then open LIVE Studio.

Chart is black in OBS: double-click the chart source and set Capture Method to Windows 10 (1903 and up).System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording → turn on OBS, then restart OBS.

Preview is wide, not tall: redo "Import the SMC profile". Or Settings → Video → set both resolutions to 1080x1920.

Ground rules Say you earn from your link. When you push it, say so out loud on stream, and use TikTok's paid partnership label or #ad on posts that push it.
Never promise anyone they'll make money. No fake screenshots or other people's results. No ads on the SMC name without asking. No spamming DMs or comments. Any of these ends it, no second chances.
